Earlier today, Culver City announced plans for a free flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Aiming to combat the dual threat of flu season and the ongoing pandemic, the event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, in association with L.A. County Public Health, as per the city's announcement.
The Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City will host the clinic. The city's announcement affirms that free parking off Culver Blvd will be accessible for all attendees. The event will provide flu vaccinations, along with updated 2023-2024 Formulation COVID-19 vaccines for various age ranges, and will be drop-in, with no need for prior registration or appointments.
Eligibility for vaccines can be determined at the clinic by bringing vaccine cards, as stated by the City of Culver City. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for COVID-19 will be available for residents 5 and older, utilizing the updated 2023-2024 formulation. Individuals with specific health conditions or prior vaccinations may require additional doses, highlighting the necessity for the updated formulation as the bivalent Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are unavailable.
The clinic is implementing measures to ensure inclusivity as well, refraining from denying services to residents without identification or health insurance. Documentation with proof of age and written consent from a parent or legal guardian is expected for minors. Health insurance information should be provided if available, however uninsured individuals will not be turned away.
