Tonight marks the kickoff of a joyous nautical adventure at the USS Midway Museum, transforming into a holiday haven with a DJ, dance floor, and adorned aircraft, as announced on the museum's Facebook page. The merry celebrations will take place on select nights until December 23, transforming the deck of this iconic aircraft carrier.

The USS Midway, known for its serious history, will be decked out from bow to stern with a dazzling display of twinkling lights. Overflowing with holiday cheer, the event offers a variety of attractions, including an illuminated tunnel maze, according to the museum's official website.

Mark Berlin, the director of operations and guest services at the Midway, shared "We're very excited to bring Jingle Jets to San Diegans," per NBC San Diego. Alongside holiday carolers and life-size ornaments, the Midway undergoes a miraculous transformation into a vessel of joy and goodwill.

Jingle Jets promises a festive atmosphere with a "wintery forest of illuminated trees," and seasonal creatures like reindeer and polar bears, creating a holiday wonderland not seen on this side of the Arctic Circle. Cheryl Carlson, director of special events, envisions Jingle Jets becoming a cherished holiday tradition in San Diego, saying via NBC San Diego, "We want our guests to feel like they've stepped into an amazing holiday world."

Guests can capture moments with Santa in his red flight suit against the backdrop of aircraft adorned with holiday lights. The event also offers opportunities to write heartfelt messages to service members, spreading the holiday spirit.

Café 41 and Jet Shop gift shop are ready to deliver festive delights and gifts. Tickets start at $25 for adults and $18 for youths, available on the Midway's website. Children under 5 can join the fun for free.
