South Paxton experienced two violent incidents yesterday night, November 1. Two women were victims of separate shootings and hit-and-run accidents that took place almost simultaneously.
The Chicago Police Department reported that a 24-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder by an unidentified male in an alley where she had parked her car. She was later taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment.
Another woman, 23, was hit by a red sedan in the same alley. The driver consequently fled the scene. The unidentified woman was also transported to the same hospital for treatment, however, the extent of her injuries is currently unknown.
Police reports indicate that the perpetrators managed to escape and have not yet been located. Area Two Detectives are currently investigating.
