Today, a drive-by shooting left two men critically wounded. The attack occurred around 3:00 a.m. on the 1400 block of North Avers under the jurisdiction of the 25th District.
As per the recent report by the Chicago Police Department, the victims were in their car when fire was opened by a person inside a strange-looking blue SUV. The 31-year-old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while the 32-year-old was shot in his left leg and torso.
Both victims were transported by the Chicago Fire Department to Stroger Hospital, where they are currently in critical condition. As of the publishing of this report, the perpetrator remains at large and the investigation is continuing under the supervision of Area Five detectives.
