Graphic Video of Rapper FBG Duck's Final Moments Allowed in O Block Trial: Chicago Gang Rivalry ExposedSource: Youtube/Fbg Duck

A federal judge has allowed the jurors in the ongoing trial of six alleged O Block members to see a graphic video of the dying moments of rapper FBG Duck. U.S. District Judge Martha Pacold ruled the video's pertinence outweighed its potential prejudicial effect, as reported by the Chicago Tribune. The graphic content was captured by a police officer's body-worn camera and features FBG Duck's final moments.

O Block is a Chicago-based gang that is a rival of Weekly's Gangster Disciples. These two rival sects were known to intensify their feud with online taunts and diss tracks. Weekly had drawn the ire of O Block after releasing the diss track "Dead Bitches" in July 2020, as revealed by a Hoodline report.

This feud, however, precedes the recent events. The roots of rivalry can be traced to a 2011 incident that led to the demise of Odee Perry, a Black Disciples gang member, among other instances. Well-known rapperrs like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, and the late King Von represented O Block while Weekly belonged to the Tookaville Gangster Disciples.

The trial, expected to last two months, offers a look into gang violence in Chicago's music industry. According to the Chicago Tribune, the inclusion of the video in the trial sheds light on the harsh reality of how gangs in Chicago interact.

The unfolding trial could also shine a spotlight on rapper Lil Durk, who shares ties with the defendants and who has had conflict with the Tookaville Gangster Disciples, as noted in another Hoodline article. Court documents also mention King Von, associated with O Block, who is alleged to have put a bounty on Weekly's head following his diss track release.
