On October 26, a civilian in Holyoke, Massachusetts acted swiftly when they flagged down officers to tend to a female critically injured from a stabbing incident near Sargeant Street. The victim, found with multiple stab wounds, was given immediate first-aid until medical services arrived on scene. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transported to Baystate Medical Center, according to Holyoke Police Department.
Following an investigation, the suspect was identified as Francheska Vazquez, a 31-year-old local. An arrest warrant was issued against her on multiple allegations including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, and attempt to murder.
On November 1, Vazquez was apprehended by the Massachusetts State Police on the Holyoke District Court Warrant as noted on the Facebook post.
