A woman is battling for her life after a bullet tore into her head Friday night in Boston's Hyde Park, sparking a police hunt for the shooter. The bloodshed happened at 10 p.m. on 30 Business Street.
The victim was whisked off to the hospital with injuries deemed life-threatening according to CBS Boston. Confirmed by the authorities, the woman was found by the police, teetering on the precipice of life and death. As of now, the Boston Police have not pinpointed a suspect, leaving a shroud of mystery hanging over this violent act.
Neighbors in Hyde Park expressed their shock, finding it hard to reconcile this burst of violence with the peaceful streets they know. "Honestly pretty surprising… really quiet neighborhood…walked out saw the lights and were like woah what’s happening? And then the next thing I know something happened," Edward Velazquez said in bewildered tones to NBC Boston.
The investigation is still ongoing. No arrests have been made in the wake of the gunfire.
