In a dramatic turn of events, fear and angst turned to relief in Kyle, Texas, as two 6-year-old girls, Jaylynn and Jordyn Webber-Daniels, were found safe following a frenzied search after an AMBER Alert was issued according to FOX 7 Austin. The two young cousins had been reportedly taken to go fishing by 20-year-old family friend Kylei Glasgow, sparking a widespread call to action.
The close-knit community's ordeal began Tuesday when Glasgow was said to have taken the children out at approximately 10:30 a.m., but alarming silence ensued as the mother of the girls received not one word since their departure. As panic began to set in, Kylei Glasgow was believed to be driving a gold 2010 Toyota Highlander, as cited by CBS Texas, and the authorities and concerned citizens were to quickly disseminate this information with hopes of safely recovering the young souls.
The anxiety-laced search, bolstered by the AMBER Alert and the Kyle community's fervent social media efforts, culminated with the recovery of Jaylynn and Jordyn on Tuesday night. "Thank you to everyone that helped share the information. The amber alert and social media sharing worked. Great job everyone!" hailed the Kyle Police Department in a heartfelt Facebook post celebrating the girls' safe return.
Any worries were put to rest about 10:13 p.m. when law enforcement officials found the children in another county, apparently unharmed. The news that the girls were safe was met with a collective sigh of relief from the community.
