On November 1, officers discovered a loaded firearm in a vehicle during a traffic stop in Roxbury. Eric Jenkins, 23, from Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, was subsequently arrested and charged with various firearm-related offenses, as reported by the Boston Police Department.
Jenkins was pulled over for making an unlawful U-turn and parking in a restricted area. Upon inspection, officers found Jenkins was driving with a suspended driver's license. They then carried out a search revealing a loaded Canik METE SFT firearm with a laser sight and 17 rounds in its magazine.
Aside from the firearm charges, Jenkins was also charged with driving a vehicle on a suspended license. His trial is scheduled at Roxbury District Court, where he may face further penalties for firearm misuse in Boston, according to the Boston Police Department.
