Yesterday, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) in association with CalMHSA has revealed details of a community grant for the 2024 Take Action LA campaign. The financial support is targeted towards mission-centric organizations and ranges between $25,000 and $150,000 according to Department of Mental Health.
Applications are now being accepted as confirmed by a specialized LACDMH article. LACDMH and CalMHSA are actively searching for varied organizations to host events in sync with the Take Action LA for Mental Health campaign that foster a culture of mental health consciousness, community collaboration, and individual initiative.
All the information needed to apply can be readily found by visiting the CalMHSA Bonfire procurement portal at https://calmhsa.bonfirehub.com/. A prerecorded Bidder's Conference is also available for additional direction. To adapt to recent changes, LACDMH has stretched the question submission deadline on Tuesday, 5 p.m. PST, with answers provided on the 20th at 5 p.m. PST.
The final application deadline, to better help organizations in their preparations, is pushed until December 1 at 5 p.m. PST. All finished forms should be submitted through the Bonfire portal. Importantly, only events scheduled between May 1st and May 31st, 2024, are eligible for funding under this grant scheme.
Amid the global mental health crisis, this grant program encourages efforts to elevate awareness and foster community welfare. By offering the required aid for such dedicated organizations to hold successful events, the Take Action LA initiative will positively impact mental health throughout Los Angeles County.
