Today, November 18th, a 39-year-old man was injured during a robbery attempt in the 2500 block of West 56th Street in Chicago’s Gage Park, during which he was shot in the leg. The assailant demanded the victim's phone at gunpoint, initiated a physical altercation, and subsequently opened fire. This incident was reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.
The offender arrived in a silver sedan and, after the shooting, left the scene quickly as per Fox32 Chicago. Once emergency services arrived, they discovered the victim in his vehicle, suffering a gunshot wound to his leg. Provided immediate medical aid, he was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center and remains in fair condition.
The suspect remains at large, with the case presently being investigated by Area One Detectives.
