Yesterday, Methuen, Massachusetts resident Nelson Perez, 58, was arrested in Katy, Texas, for a robbery at the Loan Max in Salem, New Hampshire. As per the WHDH report, Perez awaits arraignment and extradition to New Hampshire.
On September 27, an armed suspect tied up two Loan Max employees at 522 South Broadway and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Even though employees were unharmed, the incident led to an extensive local law enforcement investigation as WMUR stated.
As the investigation moves forward, more charges against Perez are anticipated. Authorities are advising anyone with information about the robbery to come forward. Salem Police are specifically asking for contact to be made with Det. Joshua Dempsey.
