Mayor Michelle Wu ushers in the festive period with the annual Enchanted Trolley Tour in Boston. Scheduled for December 2 and 3, this event, now in its 27th run, promises to decorate Boston neighborhoods with holiday lights, as outlined by the city. This local celebration is made possible by the support of Bank of America and CityView Trolley Tours.
Mayor Wu's intention to foster unity in Boston's diverse neighborhoods is, in particular, exemplified in the Enchanted Trolley Tour. This celebratory event adds inclusivity and projects a sense of unity and belonging. "This time of year is perfect for our communities to come together and celebrate. I encourage Boston residents from all neighborhoods to join us as we start the holiday season with our annual Enchanted Trolley Tour,” Mayor Wu expressed in the official city statement. As the first female Asian-American Mayor of Boston, her commitment to strengthening community ties forms a primary part of her leadership.
Not all cities could maintain such long-standing traditions in the face of adversity as Boston has. Issues like budget constraints have threatened many such events. However, the continuous support of Bank of America and other local institutions has helped keep the Enchanted Trolley Tour running for nearly thirty years. It echoes shared community values and priorities. “The Enchanted Trolley Tour is more than just an event; it expresses the joy of the holiday season and brings people together from every neighborhood of the city in a spirit of good cheer," said Miceal Chamberlain, President of Bank of America Massachusetts.
