A development in the Ana Walshe murder case includes new DNA evidence, according to WCVB. Her husband, Brian Walshe, is charged with the alleged murder and dismemberment.

The results of the DNA analysis, from an independent laboratory, will be discussed at a pre-trial hearing on November 2. This hearing, however, has been postponed until January 23, 2024, as reported by Boston25 News.

Items recovered by investigators include a knife, a hacksaw, and a hatchet with traces of blood. Despite thorough searches, Ana Walshe's body is yet to be found. Her husband, Brian Walshe, is suspected of being complicit in her disappearance.

Searches near the defendant's mother's house resulted in the discovery of clothing, jewelry, and a hacksaw with an embedded bone fragment as reported by NBC Boston. Brian Walshe apparently disposed ten trash bags at his mother's apartment complex in Swampscott, where authorities found Ana Walshe's necklace, a Prada purse, and a COVID vaccine card.

With the DNA evidence from Bode, the independent laboratory, the prosecution will attempt to conclusively establish Brian's complicity in his wife's disappearance.
