
The city of Pasadena was left reeling following the fatal shooting of Mickey Cooper, the 64-year-old brother of Lakers icon Michael Cooper. According to the Pasadena Police Department, in a late-night disturbance that spiraled into tragedy, Mickey was shot at Washington Park last Saturday.
The suspect, 24-year-old Aaron Miguel Conell, was apprehended without incident with the support of federal law enforcement as detailed in a report by the Hoodline. Initially arrested on unrelated charges of assault with a firearm, his rap sheet was swiftly updated to include charges of murder, attempted murder, and assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
