The Petaluma community is set to honor military veterans in a downtown celebration tomorrow. The local Petaluma Police Department has announced road closures between 8 AM to 4 PM to accommodate the annual Veterans Day Parade which typically attracts large crowds. Attendees are recommended by police to carpool, arrive early, and exercise patience as these preparations are made.
Road closures will be throughout the day, even though the Veterans Day Parade doesn't officially start until 1 PM. Affected roads include Petaluma Boulevard, Kentucky Street, Western Avenue, and additional cross streets. The A Street parking lot will have temporary handicap spaces available. In light of the anticipated traffic, locals who must travel through the area are advised by the Petaluma Police to allow for extra time.
