In a move that's about as heartwarming as a slice of gooey mozzarella on top of a steaming hot pizza, Charlie's on Main is set to make a triumphant return. This local favorite pizzeria, which had its previous home tragically licked by flames last May, has found a new roost in Stoneham, promising to keep serving up family-style hospitality and hearty Italian fare. According to bostonrestaurants.blogspot, the Montvale Avenue spot will soon be bubbling with the life and aroma only a family-run kitchen can cook up.

"We are so happy to finally be able to share the news that Charlie's is coming back!" a representative spilled with excitement in a Facebook post. They've set their sights to literally open up shop again on December 12, though they've playfully teased that date is contingent on the all-clear from requisite inspections. Emphasizing their attachment to the community, they shared, "We would have loved to stay in our old location, but unfortunately that was not possible. We cannot thank our North Shore community enough for the love and support these past few months." Seemingly eager to shepherd their flock of loyal patrons to their new pastures, the folks behind Charlie's are quick to promise that the commute to Stoneham will be worth every mile. To put it plainly, they're looking to revive more than just recipes from their former Main Street digs in Wakefield.

For those unacquainted with the Charlie's on Main saga, an inferno ravaged their Wakefield location back in May, leaving the business in ashes and four residents without a home. Yet, hope springs eternal, and as such, the business has found a new locale. And not just any old space; it's the one that housed the now-shuttered Gyro Spot.

As touted on their website, Charlie’s on Main isn't merely flipping pies; they're crafting experiences. "We’re always experimenting with new ways to test the palette and push the pizza experience to a higher level,” they proudly proclaim. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill pizza joint. They're about dishing up a variety of pasta dinners, from Alfredo with Chicken to Chicken or Veal Parmesan, and naturally, each comes with a side of that oh-so-necessary garlic bread. Let’s not forget the pizza and salads that have cemented Charlie's as a neighborhood icon in the first place, and through their passion and innovation, they intend to quickly re-establish their status.
