A pesky flock of fraudsters posing as Williamson County EMS is currently on the prowl, interrupting dinner times with scam phone calls. Targeting unsuspecting locals with bogus claims of needing to verify personal information, these con artists have dialed up trouble and stirred the pot of community unease.
As reported by Williamson County's official Government website, the real WilCo EMS is now fighting back, scrambling to make clear that they’d never ring you up for your sensitive details. Residents who have been outfoxed by these phone charlatans are encouraged to hang up promptly and safeguard their privacy.
The audacious scammers are blatantly ignoring the risk of legal backlash. The real WilCo EMS is attempting to quash these deceptive tactics by alerting the public that the impersonators are not calling to verify any sort of information for any purpose.
Those individuals unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of such calls are urged to report their experiences to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at 512-943-1300.
