
Earlier today, 29-year-old Miguel Perez was arrested in conjunction with the murder of Sreylakh Ros, 30, and Brian Fernandez, 29, a couple from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. As reported in the Boston Globe, police apprehended Perez during a raid on a Warwick residence.
The night of October 28 revealed the gruesome reality of Ros and Fernandez's deaths. After receiving gunshot reports, Cranston police discovered the deceased couple in a parked pickup truck as outlined by WPRI. The motivation behind the killings remains unknown. Nonetheless, these tragic events further underscore the ongoing issue of gun violence.
The relationship between Perez and the victims is known, Providence Police Major David Lapatin confirmed, though he declined to specify further. Perez was not the only individual taken into custody during the raid; Vathna Keo, 29, was arrested on charges that included carrying a pistol without a license and the possession of a "ghost gun." Perez is additionally facing charges of possession of narcotics with intent to deliver according to WPRI.
