Flames engulfed a San Diego County neighborhood late Monday night as firefighters battled a blaze that tore through multiple RVs and outbuildings. The inferno, which erupted in the 500 block of Telford Lane just after 11 p.m., was met with an aggressive response from the Battalion 8 Ramona firefighters, according to a Facebook post by CAL FIRE/San Diego County Fire.
Upon arrival, the fire crews encountered "heavy fire showing with several RV's and outbuildings involved," as the post detailed. Despite the chaos, the determined firefighters managed to contain the flames in the originally affected RVs and storage structures, saving multiple nearby properties from destruction. Both RVs caught in the blaze were inhabited and served as primary residences for their occupants.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported among civilians or the firefighting heroes who confronted the blaze. Nevertheless, the fire has rendered two adults homeless, and their makeshift housing in the form of RVs is now ash. The Red Cross stepped in to provide aid to those displaced by the unexpected disaster, ensuring they have a place to turn in the immediate aftermath.
