With Candle Day just around the corner, December 2 is poised to set the wick-world on fire, and San Antonio's locals can bask in the glow of being 8th in candle store abundance, 6th in candlemaking supply stores, and also 8th in the National Candle Association membership ranks. "What better gift than a candle this holiday season that smells like cinnamon, Christmas cookies, or evergreen pine?" muses the local Fox station.
Not to be snuffed out, other Texas cities also made the list, with Houston waxing strong at #3, Dallas at a solid #5, Fort Worth following at #26, and Austin lighting up the #29 spot, according to a News 4 San Antonio post. These rankings were melted down by factors such as the presence of candle shops, local candlemakers, candlemaking classes, and candle supply shops in 250 of the biggest U.S. cities.
