Last night, a fatal cooking fire at around 7:15 p.m. claimed the lives of Joseph M. Garda, 74, and Raymond L. Garda, 79, in Taunton. The fire occurred in the basement of a Linden Street residence, likely caused by a gas stove, as reported by Mass.gov.
In response to the incident, the Taunton Fire Department, Taunton Police Department, State Police, and other agencies are pooling efforts to investigate.
