
Yesterday, November 18, a devastating incident occurred in the 2100 block of Georgia Street in Gary, Indiana, resulting in the accidental shooting and death of a 2-year-old boy by his 3-year-old brother.
The accident has prompted concerns surrounding gun safety and the obligations of gun owners.
The incident took place around 7:21 p.m., when the children's mother briefly left a room in their house. As per CBS News, the older child discovered an unsecured gun in his mother's purse, which tragically led to the shooting of his younger sibling. "The 2-year-old passed away from his injuries," stated the authorities.
