Firefighter Andrew Price made the ultimate sacrifice while battling a blaze in Lincoln Park, Chicago yesterday. His valor is a testament to the commitment and determination that marks the Chicago Fire Department (CFD). City leaders extend their deepest condolences and promise steadfast support for Price's bereaved family and fellow firefighters. The City of Chicago's statement, released yesterday, November 13, acknowledges the considerable impact of Price's death on the community.

Firefighter Price served courageously on Truck 44, an ensemble of the city's most dedicated firefighters. His commitment to saving lives throughout his career will not easily be forgotten. 

A widespread show of support for Price and other first responders has emerged from the community.
