
A violent incident on the Red Line station platform in Chicago has resulted in injuries to a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) employee. The 59-year-old worker was assaulted on November 5 during a physical altercation, sustaining injuries to his head and right arm. Police later captured the suspect, as outlined in the CBS News report.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at the Red Line station on South State Street. After an altercation with a man, the worker fell down the escalator, suffering a laceration to his arm and a minor head contusion. The perpetrator fled but was later detained on North Dearborn Street, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
The motivations behind the altercation have not yet been disclosed.
