
A stabbing incident last Saturday night in Vista resulted in the death of 31-year-old Anthony Leal and left another man, 31-year-old Adan Salazar, with multiple injuries. Deputies found the victims on the 1200 block of Palomar Place around 11:00 p.m. after responding to the scene.
While Leal, a resident of Escondido, suffered fatal injuries at the scene, Salazar was rushed to the hospital for immediate care.
Two days later, on Monday, Vista resident Daniel Rosas, 30, was arrested by the Vista Sheriff's Homicide Detectives in connection with the stabbing. He's been charged with murder and attempted murder. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department indicates that the details of the relationship between Rosas and the victims, along with the motive behind the attack, are yet to be clarified in the ongoing investigation.
