A Chicago man was cuffed for the murder of a 35-year-old male in an incident that dates back to June 2022, officials reported.
Eddie Howlett, 49, of the 6300 block of S. Vernon was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder, authorities said. Howlett was identified by police as the alleged gunman behind the shooting that claimed the life of a man on the 6200 block of S. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., in the Windy City's third district.
