
A 21-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly striking a woman in Chicago's Loop, WGN-TV reported. The attack occurred early Monday morning on the 200 block of South State Street and the suspect was swiftly arrested after being identified as the assailant.
The incident, happening around 1:15 a.m., involved the man hitting a 48-year-old woman in the face with his hands, police revealed, yet the woman turned down medical treatment at the scene and opted not to have EMS care for her injuries. Details surrounding the motivations of the attack have not been disclosed by authorities, and as the investigation continues, the nature of the charges against the young man remains yet to be determined.
