A scene unfolded in Quincy as a 69-year-old bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries when struck by an SUV on Thursday at approximately 3:03 p.m. Quincy police officers rushed to the scene at the Hobart Street and Taylor Street intersection in response to several 911 calls, as reported by CBS Boston.
The injured senior, who was riding a motorized bicycle, was found gravely injured, and Brewster EMS swiftly transported him to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the vehicle, identified as an 81-year-old Quincy woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, according to Boston 25 News. Her vehicle was revealed to be a 2019 Chevrolet Trax.
