Arlington Restaurant Worker Fatally Run Over After Suspected Robbery Attempt, Police Seek WitnessesSource: Google Street View

A tragic end to a routine day, an Arlington restaurant employee was murdered in front of her workplace after she was believed to have been followed from a local bank. The 56-year-old woman was attacked and fatally run over by her assailant's vehicle outside Pho Son Nam Vietnamese Restaurant, according to FOX 4 News.

Detectives are piecing together the events of the brutal assault, which unfolded around 10 a.m. on Friday. Police arrived on the scene to find the victim dead after being involved in a violent struggle. They believe the suspect, whose description remains unclear, unsuccessfully attempted to flee the scene without first hitting the woman with his vehicle. Police are actively seeking to interview witnesses who could have possibly seen the crime or the perpetrator's car.

The attack has left the Arlington community shaken, with friends and acquaintances coming forward to pay their respects. Among them is Jeannette Flores, who described the victim as a "godly person" who generously helped others. Flores mentioned the victim's kind nature, recounting how she would allow customers to pay later if they lacked cash on hand, as per WFAA.

No suspects have been arrested, and authorities are calling on anyone with information to contact Arlington Police Detective Stafford at 817-459-5739 or call Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477. The victim's identity is yet to be released publicly, pending notification of her next of kin by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
