However, the tranquility is short-lived as Wednesday plans to bring a 40 percent chance of rain after 1 pm, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday night's forecast is a 90 percent chance of rain and lows hovering in the mid-40s. The wet streak extends into Thursday, as rain is expected to persist throughout the day with highs barely reaching 50 degrees, along with a steady northeast wind chipping at the air.
The rain chances begin to taper off but do not quite disappear as we inch closer to the weekend. Thursday night will see a 50 percent chance of rain and cloudy skies with a low of around 39. Friday and the weekend are possible showers, as there's a persisting chance of rain on both days. Temperatures on Saturday will struggle to reach 40 degrees. On Sunday with mostly sunny skies forecasted and a high soaring near 41, ushering in the last days of the year under a partly cloudy veil.
