In the early hours of December 9, Boston's South End neighborhood was disrupted by violence, resulting in the arrest of Christopher Wild, 56, for a stabbing incident. Boston Police officers from District D-4 responded to a distress call at 209 Columbus Avenue, where they discovered an individual with a knife-inflicted wound to the hand, as reported by the Boston Police Department.
The emergency unfolded around 2:30 AM, with responding officers arriving to find the victim, who was subsequently taken to a local hospital by Boston EMS; their injuries were considered non-life-threatening, despite the situation they found themselves in, in the claustrophobic concrete that pre-dawn paints as far more dungeon than domicile. Police, acting on a description provided, managed to track down Wild after he had fled the scene in a vehicle, leading to his arrest.
Wild now faces charges of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and is slated to appear before the bench in Boston Municipal Court to answer for the allegations against him, according to law enforcement officials.
Boston Police have not yet released information regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the stabbing. Information on the condition of the victim remains limited, but they stand as the other half of a story violently penciled onto the ledger of city life.
