Cops bag a big haul of crack cocaine. Boston police officers, through a coordinated effort between the Drug Control Units of District C-11 (Dorchester) and B-3 (Mattapan), have nailed a significant drug bust, resulting in the arrest of a 66-year-old drug suspect.
The suspect, identified as Michael Johnson of Boston, was apprehended during an ongoing narcotics investigation near 227 River Street in Mattapan. The sting occurred at roughly 9:45 a.m. last Friday and yielded a large cache of drugs. In the mix, approximately 50 plastic bags thought to contain crack cocaine were found; the authorities later confirmed roughly 13.5 grams of the substance, according to a statement obtained by the Boston Police Department.
Following the search and seizure, Johnson was slapped with charges related to drug possession and distribution, specifically possession with intent to distribute class B. The accused is set to face the music at Dorchester District Court.
