The incident occurred around 4 a.m., when the silence was shattered by six shots ringing out. A statement obtained by CBS Boston confirms that officers were swiftly on the scene, where they ensnared a suspect, now in custody, tying them to the violent outburst.
Police rushed to the sound of gunfire after a ShotSpotter alerted them. NBC Boston reports that they found a man severely injured by bullets. The wounded man was quickly taken to a nearby hospital as first responders worked to save him from serious harm.
