For those with minis in tow, the city ensures there's no shortage of things to do. The gingerbread Make 'N' Take event is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Dove Library, a perfect playground for kindergarten through third graders to craft their edible architectures. 

Santa Claus, along with Mrs. Claus, will grace the city with their presence on Thursday, Dec. 21, at two Carlsbad library locations. Youngsters can indulge in crafts, whisper to Santa, and capture moments for the 'gram.

To top off the seasonal soirees, 'Noon Year's Eve' lets kids experience a global spin on celebrating the New Year with an early countdown to noon on December 30, intended for kindergarteners up to fifth graders.
