
George Miller, 24, of Chicago's East Side, has been hit with a felony armed robbery charge after allegedly robbing a 52-year-old man at gunpoint earlier this year. The incident, which occurred in January, led to Miller's arrest on Tuesday by members of the Chicago Police Department and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, according to a press release from the Chicago Police Department.
Miller, hailing from the 2200 block of E. 97th St., was identified as the suspect in the robbery that took place on January 30, in the 8600 block of S. Essex, in the city's 4th District. Law enforcement officials placed him under arrest and slapped him with the charge. He is expected to face a judge for a detention hearing today at the courthouse on S. California Avenue.
During the January incident, the victim was allegedly approached by Miller, who then produced a firearm and forcibly took his property.
