Looking to glide into the new year with a fresh set of skills? The Coon Rapids Ice Center (CRIC) has just the ticket for locals eager to lace up their skates. In a move that's sure to have Coon Rapids residents doing figure-eights in excitement, CRIC has announced a Winter Skating School slated to kick off in early January.
As per the official program details, starting from the tender age of four to those proudly wearing the badge of adulthood, can enroll in the program. CRIC is bringing the chill factor with classes that promise 30 minutes of focused instruction. Adding to the cool appeal, each session comes equipped with practice passes, giving learners free rein to hone their skills during public skating times.
Breaking down the icy itinerary – sessions are spread across Saturdays, from January 6th through March 23rd, and if weekends are packed, Monday classes are also on the roster from January 8th through March 25th. This twice-a-week option ensures that busy schedules don't freeze out any potential participants.
Shuffling through a range of abilities, the school ensures no one's left out in the cold. Whether attendees are taking their first shaky steps on the ice or effortlessly pivoting like seasoned pros, classes aim to provide a warm and encouraging atmosphere suited for every skill level. With the promise of a "friendly, comfortable and fun learning environment," as highlighted on the ice center's site, CRIC is crafting a space where winter sports enthusiasts can flourish both socially and athletically.
