The 29-year-old Costa Mesa native grappled with critical injuries following the harrowing November 20 crash, only to succumb to them over a week later last Friday, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
At around 11:00 p.m., the young woman's gray 2019 Toyota RAV4 veered cryptically off the Pacific Coast Highway, taking a nosedive into the murky waters, leaving officials scrambling for reasons. The HBPD, along with paramedics and lifeguards, rushed to the scene, undertaking a swift and frantic rescue operation. Pulling her from the vehicle, the driver was hurried to local trauma care.
The coroner's division of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is painstakingly tasked with revealing the name of the departed, a responsibility bowed by the weight of notifying loved ones, as stated in the HBPD release. The specifics of the incident elude the grasp of certainty.
