The Dallas Mavericks are stepping off the court and into the community, partnering with a Dallas food truck with a mission that goes beyond simply doling out delectable bites. Ruthie's For Good, a food truck known for its lip-smacking sandwiches, is dishing out second chances with a generous helping of community spirit, and now they're joining forces with the basketball Titans.

At the heart of Klyde Warren Park, food truck aficionados are salivating over Ruthie's menu, which features everything from a tantalizing patty melt to a brisket that has customers raving. "It's the truth. It's very good. Everybody in the Dallas area should tap them," one enthusiast from New Jersey praised. But Ruthie’s isn't just another food spot on wheels—it's a culinary crusade on a roll, as reported by FOX 4 News.

Owned by Ashlee Kleinert, Ruthie's For Good wraps its business model around the principle of second chances, crafting fresh starts as diligently as their sandwiches. William Northcutt, an employee hired over a year ago through the Unlocking Doors re-entry program, can attest to the life-changing impact of Kleinert's vision. "I've actually been incarcerated numerous of times and life was throwing me, you know, it was hard for me especially trying to find employment with a background," Northcutt said. He credits his new job with giving him "purpose" and something to "feel proud about", per FOX 4 News.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks are amplifying Ruthie's mission by providing support to non-profits and various events through their "Snacks of Kindness" initiative. Katie Edwards, Mavs Chief Impact Officer, noted the team's enthusiasm for partnering with cause-based companies like Ruthie's. "We appreciate the spirit of social enterprises and cause-based companies looking to create a greater good here in North Texas," Edwards said, according to a statement obtained by NBC DFW.

The first Snacks of Kindness event set the partnership in motion by feeding the Fort Worth Police Department's law enforcement officers at East Division Substation. "By ourselves, Ruthie’s can feed people and lift spirits on a small scale. Yet together, we can do so much more,” Ruthie's For Good Founder and CEO Ashlee Kleinert said, per NBC DFW
