Dallas is getting a massive dose of holiday spirit and global flavor this coming weekend. The Prism Center at the heart of the Dallas International District will come to life on Saturday, December 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with the second Dallas International Night Market. This event is set to showcase the cultural mosaic of the city with a holiday twist that's free to the public and animal companions, according to the City of Dallas.
Enthusiasts of global cuisine and the arts are going to truly get to immerse themselves in an eclectic array of tastes, sights, and sounds. Reportedly, this special holiday edition of the Night Market is looking to transform the district into a veritable playground of international sensations, complete with mouthwatering foods, locally crafted merchandise, and vivid entertainment. "When I got contacted for this event, I was reminded of how much I loved street markets in Malaysia and jumped at the opportunity to join in on the fun,” Vanessa Lee of A Bread Diary Co. said, as per the City of Dallas.
Adding to the festivities, the market is excited to welcome Spectrum as its gold sponsor, promising to bolster this event’s allure. It's not just about feeding the body but also the soul, as Dallas locals and visitors will be treated to performances by a variety of entertainers. This includes a standout act by Spirit of Dance, a student-led multi-ethnic Asian dance club from Coppell High School committed to sharing and educating on the diversity of the Asian American community through dance.
A nod to inclusivity in the yuletide season will also be evident, according to D-11 Councilmember Jaynie Schultz. “I love that we are using this Night Market to embrace the holiday spirit and celebrate the diverse ways countries celebrate the holiday season,” Schultz expressed in a statement. With vendors and performers lining up to deliver an unforgettable evening, this event is shaping up to truly live up to the holiday extravaganza it promises, per the City of Dallas.
