A squad of 10 suspects has been rounded up in connection with a chaotic Denny's shootout in late October that sent two people to the hospital, officials said earlier today. The early morning fracas on October 29 kicked off around 2:46 a.m. at the Denny's on Gusabel Avenue in Nashua when gunfire broke out, leaving diners dodging bullets, as reported by NBC Boston.
Responding officers discovered two gunshot victims amidst the maelstrom, and in the ensuing chaos, several people attempted to bolt from the scene. Law enforcement managed to detain a portion of the suspects and unearth three firearms as they scrambled to get the situation under control. In the wake of the incident, the Nashua Police Department was able to collar 10 of the 11 suspects between November 30 and yesterday, with the South Burlington Police Department lending a hand, while one man, Adonis Garcia, remains at large.
According to Boston 25 News, law enforcement officials have charged Edward Solanoreyes, Rony Guzman-Encarnacion, and others with serious offenses ranging from first-degree assault to rioting. The suspects' arrest record paints a picture of a night gone awry, with charges including criminal threatening with a firearm, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and theft by unauthorized taking.
Both individuals wounded in the shooting are on the mend and expected to pull through. Meanwhile, police are urging anyone who has clues on Garcia's whereabouts to come forward. "Anyone with information on Garcia’s whereabouts is urged to contact Nashua police at 603-589-1665," the Nashua Police Department stated, as they push ahead with an investigation that has yet to conclude.
