Chaos struck Revere Street when a car plowed into several parked vehicles early Friday morning, causing injuries and kicking off an investigation into the smash-up. Multiple cars were left wrecked along Abruzzi Street, including damage to a nearby home, as reported by WHDH.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene after a driver, whose identity hasn't been disclosed, lost control and rammed into the parked cars. Three individuals found inside the offending vehicle were taken to the hospital, though the severity of their injuries remains unclear. The residential street turned into a makeshift triage as responders worked to manage the aftermath, with the extent of property damage still being assessed.
"We didn’t hear no squeaky noises no break we just hear a big boom…three people in the car…pretty bad shape," Juan Carlos Saenz, the owner of one of the damaged vehicles, recounted the moment of the crash in a statement to Boston 25 News.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, with local authorities not yet releasing details on what may have led to the driver's loss of control. Amid the questions, one certainty remains: the residents of Abruzzi Street were jolted into an unexpected commotion that left a trail of debris and a neighborhood shaken by the sudden disturbance.
