
A family feud turned deadly in DeKalb County after a dispute escalated, resulting in a fatal shooting on Saturday afternoon. Responding to a call in the 4400 block of Parmalee Path, DeKalb County police found 44-year-old Herold Francois dead in front of an Ellenwood home, confirmed by officials and as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
The alleged shooter, identified as 29-year-old Pierre Anderson, is said to be a relative of the deceased, and he was detained at the scene without resistance. Multiple witnesses were present when the altercation took place that turned physical. Police said the situation escalated leading to Anderson allegedly pulling a gun and fatally shooting Francois. According to the investigation detailed by 11Alive News, the two had been involved in a heated argument before shots were fired.
Anderson now faces murder charges and is being held at the DeKalb County Jail. The exact nature of the dispute remains unclear as the DeKalb Police continue their inquiry into the motivations behind this tragic episode of domestic violence.
