
Firefighters have valiantly battled a two-alarm blaze that erupted in La Palma, engulfing a nearby building after igniting near pallets and an area frequented by the unhoused.
According to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) on X, approximately 55 firefighters from OCFA, Anaheim, Fullerton Fire & LA County Fire were dispatched to the 5900 block of Fresca Drive.
Their efforts to tame the inferno commenced around 1:30 a.m.

The voracious fire threatened structures and lives alike, but thanks to the unified response from multiple departments, devastation was held at bay. Not a single injury was reported in the aftermath of the flames. Investigations are now to slowly unfold, to determine the cause of this fire. The OCFA's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Program provided crucial drone footage that will assist in the post-incident analysis.
Commendations have been extended to firefighting partners involved, with the OCFA expressing gratitude to its cohorts from LA County, Anaheim, and Fullerton through a social media post. Their collaboration showcased the seamless interagency operation often necessary in emergencies of such a heated magnitude.
