Three Florida men were nabbed in Fayette County, Texas, when a routine traffic stop turned into a major drug bust as cops discovered bundles of cocaine artfully hidden within ornamental water fountains. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office, supported by a keen-nosed canine, uncovered the illicit cargo yesterday afternoon, as reported by KSAT.

During the stop, which took place around 1:55 p.m. on Interstate 10 East at mile marker 671, officers pulled over a 2014 Ford pickup truck that was towing a utility trailer. The alert drug interdiction officer spotted "criminal indicators" and decided to inspect further. The Fox 13 News' coverage illuminated, the water fountains seemed innocuous, yet their serene facade was a ruse for the cocaine packets they secreted within.

The interception led to the arrest of Pablo Antonio, 24, Rixco Terrablanco, 37, and Javier Huapillam Martinez, 25, all of whom now face charges of felony possession of a controlled substance. Underscoring the operation's success, representatives from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office spoke on the matter. "Criminal indicators" observed by the deputy and the subsequent search operations, which brought to light the hidden narcotics, led to the charges. This revelation highlights the ingenuity of those who seek to smuggle contraband into the heart of our communities.

Detailed in their report, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office stated that upon inspection, the officer and the assisting canine worked in tandem to sniff out three concealed bundles of cocaine positioned strategically in the decorative water fountains. "During a search of the trailer, three concealed bundles of cocaine were found in decorative water fountains," Fox 13 News reported, This bust is a testament to the effectiveness of the K-9 units and the vigilance of local law enforcement in the face of an unyielding drug trade.
