Stolen Semi-Trailer Leads to Arrest of Three Suspects and Recovery of Additional Stolen Goods

A semi-trailer reported stolen in Ontario was tracked down to an unincorporated area of Fontana, leading to a cache of stolen goods and the arrest of three suspects. Deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded early Tuesday morning to the 8900 block of Elm Avenue after the owner of the stolen trailer made the discovery, according to a sheriff's report.

The stolen big rig was supposed to be carrying pallets of clothing valued at over $250,000, but the merchandise was long gone by the time officers arrived on the scene. The investigation took an unexpected turn when Brandon Carrillo, Christopher Carrillo, and Silvia Rolon rolled up to the property in another stolen vehicle and deputies took action, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported.

Things escalated when Brandon Carrillo struggled with deputies during his arrest, found in possession of what appeared to be methamphetamine. A search warrant served on the suspect property uncovered a stolen flatbed trailer and a Bobcat tractor, both previously reported stolen in the city of Fontana.

Christopher Carrillo was slapped with charges for possession of stolen property and vehicles, while brother Brandon faced the music for his uncooperative antics, the stolen vehicle, and drug possession. The District Attorney's Office is now weighing criminal charges against Silvia Rolon, as the investigation wraps up.
