Former youth pastor Kyle Timothy Poff, 36, was nabbed by Frisco Police for possessing child pornography after they got a tip online, authorities said. The Frisco PD's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, acting on the CyberTip, plunged into an investigation that led to an arrest warrant and Poff's subsequent arrest on December 14. The arrest took place at Poff's home in the 2700 block of Pine Trail Drive in Little Elm, according to the City of Frisco.

The charge—a third-degree felony of possession of child pornography—lands Poff in a net of legal trouble. He faces two to 10 years behind bars and a fine up to $10,000, the department reported, and Poff was slapped with a $10,000 bond following his arrest. The police action comes amid mounting concern over internet-related child exploitation cases.
