Garland is trading cowboy boots for flip-flops on January 5th as the Atrium opens its doors for a Buffett Beach party that promises to warm things up faster than a tequila sunrise. At $10 a pop, you can soak up the vibes of the legendary Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer band – minus the actual Jimmy – courtesy of frontman Bob Baldwin and his all-star lineup, according to the City of Garland.
Baldwin's Buffett Beach band is an eight-piece ensemble complete with a "killer horn section." And if imbibing a little secondhand summer isn’t enough to thaw your chill, the cover charge also includes some Beach Party swag to take home. While real palm trees might be scarce, attendees are promised fun photo ops.
Buffett Beach is more than just a cover band; it's billed as the "ultimate Jimmy Buffett experience." It's not Margaritaville, but for fans looking to waste away in a Cheeseburger Paradise without the need for a plane ticket, January's event seems like a reasonably priced indulgence.
Beyond the tunes and the thematic merchandise, those willing to shell out a little more cash can enjoy concessions and a full bar. Whether attendees aim to sing along to "Come Monday" or simply enjoy some escapism from the winter doldrums, this event looks to be a festive mid-winter pick-me-up.
