Around 12:30 a.m., residents heard the gunshots prompting an urgent call to law enforcement. When deputies arrived at the scene on Silver Ranch Road near Silver Memorial, an unexpected twist unfolded as they stumbled upon the vehicle underwater.
According to Click2Houston, the Harris County Sheriff's Office dive team was soon deployed into the depths, where they discovered the vehicle lying beneath the surface. In the murky waters, no occupants were found inside the car or nearby, leaving more questions than answers. The report also confirmed that the vehicle had not been flagged as stolen, deepening the mystery surrounding the incident's circumstances.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office announced an "In Progress - Life in Danger" situation, with preliminary reports of gunshots and a submerged vehicle, as documented in a post on X. The dive team's response became a crucial part of the unfolding investigation in the residential area.
