A man has succumbed to his injuries following a brutal hit-and-run crash that occurred on South Loop West in Houston earlier this month. The 37-year-old motorcyclist, who has yet to be publicly identified, passed away after spending a week fighting for his life.
According to an official statement by the Houston Police Department, the collision took place around 10:00 a.m. earlier this month, on December 3, when the man's maroon Honda GL1200 was sideswiped by a gray Toyota. The suspect's vehicle reportedly changed lanes aggressively, hitting the motorcycle, and then sped away from the site without stopping to offer assistance or call for emergency services, a decision that may have cost the motorcyclist his life.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he battled for his life before being pronounced dead on December 10. The exact identity of the deceased is still being confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. In the wake of this tragedy, HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A.
